Executive Advisory Board

An Executive Advisory Board has been established to provide advice to the Heads of the MBA Programme on basic subject-related and interdisciplinary issues of the scientific work programme as well as national and international cooperation. The experience and contacts provided by the members of the Executive Advisory Board serve to support the development of the degree course.

The duties of the Executive Advisory Board include the following in particular:

  • Providing advice to the Heads of the MBA Programme on long-term research and development planning and on the strategic orientation of the further-education programme.
  • Regular assessment, in collaboration with the Heads of the MBA Programme, of the research and tuition performance attained by this programme.

The Executive Advisory Board consists of six to twelve independent, internationally renowned and working scientists, senior managers at public and private organisations or other experts. They are appointed for a four-year term on the basis of the suggestions submitted by the Presiding Council of the University of Applied Sciences or of the Heads of the MBA Programme; re-appointment is permissible.

The Executive Advisory Board works in an honorary capacity. It elects a chairman from among its members and adopts the internal rules of procedure. It must be convened at least once a year.

The Heads of the MBA Programme and, as the case may be, representatives of the Presiding Council of the University as well as other parties interested take part in the meetings of the Executive Advisory Board. Written minutes must be kept of the meetings of the Executive Advisory Board; the minutes have to be signed by the Chairman and be forwarded to the senior managers of the University of Applied Sciences.
